The United States of America comprises of fifty states and a federal district. The Country is located in North America. Washington D.C. being the capital district of the country is the federal district that lies in Columbia. With a population of more than 300 million people and about 4 million square miles of area, The United States is the third largest country of the world. One of the most diverse nations, the country has a combination of various customs and cultures. The U.S. has the world’s largest economy dominating every currency in the world with a national economy of around $15,000 trillion as its GDP (2010).
The United States of America with its geographic variety and diverse climate is known to house a vast ecology. Right from the Snow Capped Mountains and freezing glaciers of Alaska to the straits of Hawaii, the country houses exquisite flora and fauna and its rich natural heritage attracts tourists from all over the globe. Whether it is the huge imposing nature of the Cascades, or the Grand Canyon, or the Grand Teton National Park or the glitz of the happening night life of Vegas, wherever one goes, the ambience has a lot to offer. The Great historical site of Alamo speaks of the great American Revolution and the bravery with which the nation’s founders laid down their lives whereas the market place, theaters and music clubs of New York City give the pleasure of enjoying modernity. One gets tempted easily to the happenings in California and the rich culture of blues and jazz in Tennessee; and not to forget the peaceful climate of Carolina that comes a charm in all respects.
